Home means Nevada, home means the hills, home means the sage and the piiiiiine...
What’s that you say? You’ve never heard that song? You never sang it in elementary school recitals? What a shame. You probably weren’t born and raised in the great state of Nevada…or Reno to be more specific. I went home this weekend for one of my best friend’s wedding (’tis the season) and while there, went for a great 11-miler with my cell phone camera in hand.
More than a strict training run, I used this opportunity to capture the uniqueness that is my old stomping grounds and while I did so, I realized just how beautiful Reno really can be. And for those of you who have only been to downtown Reno…it gets better. I promise.
I apologize for the horrendous photo quality (blame the cell phone), but enjoy my little Reno running rendevouz, including odd trashcans, the Truckee river, my old high school, some nice views and a cool moose.
Oh ya, and I finally got to pick up my surprise award from the Rock ‘N River half marathon!
Wow! You’re right, Reno is a lot more pretty than that little dingy downtown! Loved the pics!!
And awesome award! I want an AG award like that! I never see anything cool like that!
Haha, yes! Trust me…there are the nice parts! And thanks for the nice comment on the award, I was excited too!
