One (long) word: wahooooooooooooooooooooo!
In an unexpected change of events, I am going to run the second half of the San Francisco marathon thanks to the great people at Run Racing and the San Francisco Marathon!
As you may or may not know, I work in the social media world and when the Long Beach marathon’s Facebook Page was holding a contest to win an entry to the San Francisco marathon, you better believe I was on it. Next thing you know, I was chosen and couldn’t be more grateful!
I completed the first half of the marathon last year and this year, I’ll tackle the second half with some of the great running peeps that I’ve met through Twitter and blogging.
The best part about the SF Marathon last year: running the GG bridge!
Added bonus: I’ll officially have completed all three of the California Dreamin’ races within one year! San Franciso half in July, Long Beach half in October, and Surf City in February! I wrote about my goal of completing the series here and now I’m absolutely elated to score that sweet bling-blang all within a year. Now I just need to start booking hotels! Squeal!!
But more importantly, I know that a lot of you are also doing the San Francisco marathon (or half) this year! Let me know if you are and perhaps we can arrange a tweet-up or something of the sort.
