As much as you may think you know your co-workers, you don’t really know them until you go on a two day work/fun retreat with them! These past two days were spent at a hotel right on the Embarcadero in San Francisco presenting, learning, dancing and playing what might be the best scavenger hunt ever (but if I showed you those photos, I might have to kill you).
One of the best parts about the retreat? Not having to commute and being able to wake up at 6 a.m. and still get a good run in before heading to work. San Francisco has its fog and misty a.m. temperatures, but it’s that overcast coolness that makes it the perfect place to run. I have definitely decided that running + overcast weather + light drizzle = the happiest gal on the planet. What type of running weather is your favorite?
One of the best sightings on the run? Why a giant macaroni and cheese noodle, of course! I will fully admit that I could live off of Annie’s Mac and Cheese (it’s the one with the little bunny logo). Anyone else with me on this one?
Stay off the big noodle, damn it!
This weekend consists of a 17 miler, which should be interesting given the seriously training #fail, yet again. I’m starting to get a bit nervous about not being able to squeeze in workouts (probably only running four times a week), but we’ll just have to get out there and get ‘er done.
Have a great weekend everybody and happy running!
i looooooove sf running weather! overcast and foggy is my FAV.
i am running 17 this weekend too!
I love running in overcast weather with a light drizzle. Nothing beats it! I’m praying it is low 50s and overcast on race day in Oct. 4 days a week is plenty of days for training, lady! No reason to be out there killing yourself if things are busy in life right now.
i want to climb on the noodle!!!!!!
I wanna touch the noodle!!!! haha I love Annie’s too….SO good!!!!
I’ve been only able to squeeze in 4 days of running in August, but it’s time to man up as Chi-town is quickly approaching! eeeekkkkk :-/
I have a similar picture of the noodle. Kinda the same angle and everything. Great photo bc you got it with no one in the picture 🙂
