I think adults should be allowed to trick or treat. Seriously, I could use some treats and I’d be more than willing to take the tricks along with them. This Halloween’s plans are still in the works, but so far it will consist of a masquerade party on Thursday night, a work costume contest on Friday (yes, we are entering, and yes, we will win…muahaha), the Healdsburg half marathon and wine tasting on Saturday, and then who knows what else. What am I going to dress up as for this frightful night? Well, this is highly classified information.
Last year, Chicken Face and I were in New York for the NYC marathon and didn’t partake in any festivities. Yup, thanks to me we were in bed by 9 on Halloween night. But boy oh boy, was that a race to remember (enter: slow death, dehydration and medical tent):
What kind of fiance takes a photo of you in the med tent?!
One of my favorite photos of my friend Erin and I is from Halloween back in college. I picked up a little boy’s scout uniform at Savers and wa-la! Boy Scout!
But on a running-related note, I’m super excited for the race this weekend. I am literally still hobbling around from this workout, but I’m going to just have fun with this race. In fact, I’m not going to try and “race” this at all. Just enjoy that amazing scenery and have fun with all of my Twitter and blogging buddies who will be there as well.
I’m excited to hear what everyone else is going to be this Halloween! And don’t worry, I’ll reveal my costume on Friday!
Happy Halloween and happy running!
