Hola mis amigos…did you miss me? Don’t worry, I won’t cry when you say no. The cool news is that I’m writing this post on the plane right now. Hellllllllllo down there!
I’m a bit in love with this photo…even if I did oversaturate it.
This whirlwind of a trip to Miami left me with a newfound appreciation for business travel, especially when you are traveling all the way across the county for a little more than 24 hours. But nevertheless, I did manage to wake up early on the day of my event to get in a quick four miler. I wasn’t anywhere near an actual beach (sad face indeed), but instead a random, little island-type thing that the seriously amazing hotel was on. Thus, I was surrounded by water everywhere I ran. Gorgeous!
My yacht awaits…err…or P-Diddy’s yacht does. Or is he Sean Combs again?
Guess who didn’t bring a bathing suit…
Lookin’ grungy on the run. Whoa..what the hell is up with my armpits?
From the little bits of Miami that I did experience, it felt like I was in another country. Spanish flavor all around made everything a bit more exotic, colorful and well…as cliche as this may sound…spicier. I ate my breakfast on a random street bench and while simple, thought that it perfectly explained my tiny taste of Miami.
I also got to sneak out and see just a tad of Art Basel (which is why I was in town to begin with). Not only was there an exhibition celebrating 50 years of Hello Kitty, but I kid you not, also an area where you could go and get Hello Kitty character tattoos.
I have a feeling this guy is going to regret it someday.
I have to be honest and say that I’m ready to be home and no longer flying 10+ hours each direction. Traveling by yourself just isn’t the same, but I’m still glad a got to see a minuscule bite of Miami.
This week I’ll be finalizing my Boston training plan, updating and sharing the ultimate running playlist, and attending a slew of holiday parties – including the office holiday party which I hear is more debauchery than one would like to admit.
Good luck to everyone racing today and happy running!
