Guess what came in the mail today?! The award for my 3rd place age group finish at this year’s Scheels Turkey Trot! Last year I grabbed second place, but this year I was so happy with 3rd place as I moved up an age bracket (to 21-30) and shaved an alleged four minutes off my time. And yes, I know that some people said the course was short, but can we just pretend it was accurate?
Another hand-me-down outfit; but come on now…she’s ready for the holidays!
Yesterday I mentioned that I’m working on my Boston marathon training plan, but the more I keep reading and Googling, the more I get confused on what I should do. I question successful plans that I have used in the past only because I can and I get worried about ensuring I have the right type of training mixed in (i.e. cross training, strength, yoga, core, etc). I don’t have a coach (although I would love to if any coaches out there are willing to take it on) and I can only bother my blogging buddies so much for advice. I was planning on doing a variation of the classic Pfitz plans, but I would love to ask for your help.
What training plans do you love? Anything specific for Boston training?
Any and all advice is welcome!
Happy running!
While I definitely CANNOT give you any advice, I CAN tell you how freakin’ cute your dog is!
I am combining the FIRST training plans with Brad Hudson’s plans…Congrats on the medal!!
I feel your pain!! It is so stressful!! I am sending you my plan via email after I meet with my coach:) Have a great day!
i am working on mine now and can definitely pass it along once i am done π i keep confusing myself too and just need to make something and move on! lol
π that pic makes me smile!
Thanks for visiting my blog Page π
LOVE that cute little Lola!
I think you should stick with what has worked in the past. I know it can seem boring, but being consistent is helpful in the long run. I’m not expert, but I like Pfitz and can take a look if you like π
Such a cute picture of your doggie! Good luck finding the perfect plan!
Hey all,
I’m training for Boston this spring and found this post while searching for Boston plans. Mind passing anything along? Thanks a ton!
