I’m writing this post tucked under the sheets…back home…in Nevada.
I got a jump start on the holidays by heading west to hang with the family and work from home for a week (a perk of having a cubicle job). The snow is already blanketing the city and I’m sure by the time I wake up it will be even deeper.
Along with the snow, there was more exciting news! In a fit of frustration with the iPhone 3G and its slow-as-molasses (yes, I just said slow-as-molasses) self, I landed and told my mom we were headed to the Apple store! Yes, I bit the bullet and welcomed a new member to my family: the iPhone 4. Yes, I had to get the extra thick case because you know I’m going to drop it…it’s just a matter of time!
I met the strangest fellow at the Apple store…he was wearing this red, plush suit that was oh-so 1700’s and seriously needed to trim his beard as there were bit of cookie crumbs in it. Gross. But he showed me the ropes of my new baby and promised to put me on his “nice” list….creep.
This past week was full of casual runs as well as two group runs that I LOVED. The first was on Thursday night. Remember the run club I started at work? Well, only two people showed up again so we went and joined the Lululemon SF run club for a fast and gorgeous 10k. Running through Pac Heights with the Christmas lights was just gorgeous. Then on Saturday, Aron, Kristin and I met up for a run and a Lululemon Walnut Creek conditioning class. The run and class were great, but not as amazing as our sweet holiday get-ups for The San Francisco Marathon holiday contest. Yes, you like that vest, don’t you?
Here’s to the start of Christmas week…happy holidays and happy running!
