It’s Monday and as much as I dread them, this particular Monday is accompanied by renewed focus and motivation. With a successful move under our belts, 50 days until Boston, 62 days until Big Sur and 145 days until our wedding, I feel a sense of overwhelming change that is encouraging me to take on the world. What do you say we kick ass this week? Deal? Deal. What are the big items that you want to kick into gear?
On top of moving this weekend, Chicken Face was gracious enough to keep working while I got my long run in. If you ever needed a reason to come and visit me in the East Bay, how about 15 miles along the Livermore wineries followed by a sandwich at Amelia’s and a lemon bar? Sounds like the perfect day to me! Who’s in?!
Happy Monday and Happy Running!

Day 60: 15 miles
Day 61: Rest
Wow you have SO many amazing things to look forward to!! And I’d totally LOVE to join ya except for the small matter of the Atlantic that separates us…booo 🙁
Only 49 days until Boston?! So SOON!! I’m excited for you and everyone else running it!! 😀
Ummm that does sound perfect!! I think I’m going to have to come warm your house and go for a run followed by lunch!
Hooray for a successful move!!
Busy girl!!! So many fun things coming up for you 🙂
I love that run, I gotta get out there again soon.
I can’t believe boston is so close!!!!SO exciting!
Wow, busy girl! Good luck settling into the new digs! Boston will be here before you know it 🙂
So many wonderful things to look forward to!! That would definitely motivate me! Your run sounds like it was incredible!
What a beautiful place to run! I’d love to come run 15 or so with you in that country. 🙂 A lemon bar afterwards too, wow!
wow that run sounds amazing!
I need to keep the pedal to the metal this week. I’d gotten into a funk with running, I was kind of dogging it and just being slow. So friday i did my 4 miles on the treadmill to break my funk, and push my pace. And then Sunday I was able to do my 6 miler at a faster pace than I thought. So i need to keep pushing the pace. I think i can go much faster than I think I can.
I’m in! I don’t know a thing about Livermore. But I’m dreadfully sick of running Lake Merritt and the Oakland hills, my only go-to’s here.
way to put a nice spin on a Monday!
Oooooh, you are totally close enough to come and run here. Shoot me an email and I’ll send you a link to the course!
I love reading your blog. As a fellow runner you are truly an amazing writer. It is motivational reading your stories. I am just getting back into running and those tough runs are definitely discouraging sometimes. I will definitely have to look into running along the Livermore vineyards. I love Livermore and live only about 30 minutes away. =0)
Larissa,
Thank you so much for the kind words. Your comment literally made my night and I had a stupid grin across my face as I read it. I don’t know where exactly you live, but if you email me I can send you a link to the route. Welcome back to running!
Oh my gosh – that run sounds amazing! Honestly, I would love to move to CA just for the running. Northern Cali seems to be a runner’s paradise. I need to find a way to get out there 😉
Love your attitude for the week. Hope you’re settling into the new place!
Come visit Cali! I’m originally from NV so I never thought I would appreciate running weather as much as I do now!
I want to run there – it looks amazing! I may hit you up for info on how to find it!
Of course! I can send you the course link – just send me your email addy.
wow, does that look gorgeous!!
