It’s looking dreary outside, but the truth is that rainy days are my favorite. Along with this weekend’s rain and exactly ONE MONTH until Boston, here are my a few things that brought a smile to my face this week.
Broiled skinny asparagus with olive oil, salt and pepper. Simplicity at its finest.
My new Hunter wellies – just in time for the rain.
My basket-o-running gear. Happiness all in one place.
Finally got my poster of last year’s LA marathon framed and hung. This race holds a special place in my heart and here’s why. Good luck to everyone running LA this weekend.
St. Patrick’s day run. The view was worth all of the green beer I skipped.
Happy Running!

Day 76: Overslept…woops!
Day 77: 12 miles
Day 78: 9 miles
love this post! It is about simplicity and the things that make you happy in life. One of my fav things is definitely my running basket. It’s overflowing..but yet I could still find room for more. 😉
I LOVE aspargus too!! I broil mine in a little of olive oil too and sprinkle with a little bit of garlic powder… GOOD STUFF!!! Love your picture at the end, amazing view!! Have a good weekend! I think I remember correctly, we both have 20 milers! 🙂
I love it. Asparagus is one of my favorite veggies, especially when it’s roasted, so simple, delicious and healthy. Hunters, can’t live without ’em. Life changing. Love the framed race poster 🙂 I bet it’s hard to believe that was a year ago! and lastly, love the pic of the Golden Gate Bridge! Have a great weekend and good luck with your 20 miler this weekend!
I love asparagus its so good. That LA marathon poster is so cool looks great.
Oh and i skipped the green beer too and opted for a couple shots of green nyquill before bed.
I keep my running gear in a basket like that too! Makes it so much easier to find when I am still half asleep trying to get out the door 🙂
Love the LA marathon poster, great idea on framing it! And I should start a basket of running supplies too, haha
WOW one month till Boston!! I am SO excited for you!!! 😀
Love your marathon poster, and I am definitely stealing your running basket idea!! 😛
OMG I have a running basket too! Except I think i need a bigger one because I keep getting more stuff and not all of it fits anymore!
I can’t believe its only one month away! SOO HAPPY we are in the same wave!!!!! I actually looked you up and for some reason thought you were in the 3rd wave, but I’m glad we will be together!
Love the poster! What a cool way to remember your engagement!
LA marathon is very special to me too…it was my first! In 2006. I signed up at the expo the day before on a whim, and went in a taxi by myself. No friends, no family….but I loved it. It felt like a special secret
Page I loved your feature on Emma’s blog!! The post is so fun–a story of running in pictures….your LA poster looks fabulous–hello conversation piece!! 😀
I have a basket for odds and ends running equipment (head lamps, belts, lights, etc) and it is totally over flowing and super messy. Need a new one!
