One week from today, it will be real. I’ll be in Boston for the first time ever, running my first Boston Marathon. Finding the right words to express the overwhelming sense of anticipation, excitement and anxiety has proven to be a daunting task. I look back at my BQ qualifying post and I can relive the moment, but writing about what’s to come is like one of those choose your own adventure books: I’m not quite sure what will happen, but I know that it will be memorable. However, what I can say is that this training cycle has been unlike that of any before…
Countless new friends.
500+ miles logged.
16 weeks of training.
11 cities explored by running.
5 treadmill movies.
4 boxes of Jammy Sammies.
3 sicknesses.
2 pairs of shoes.
1 opportunity. 1 challenge. 1 experience of a lifetime.
I’m ready for it.
Happy Running!
