The other day, I received the sweetest email from a reader. I’ll leave her personal story private, but what she has accomplished made me tear up. I love hearing your stories! But in that email, she also mentioned that she had been reading this here blog for a year. For a second there, I thought, “Wait, what? I haven’t been blogging for that long.” But then I double checked and low and behold, Sunday was Twenty-Six and Then Some’s first birthday!
I started the blog solely to claim my little corner in the internet and share my running story (mostly with my family who lives in a different state). But more than being my little outlet, I have my blog to thank for so many amazing experiences that I would have never had without it, including…
- 150 blog posts
- 100s of photos of Lola
- 11 races
- 3 PRs demolished
- 1 Boston qualifier completed
- 1 Boston to Big Sur Challenge completed
- But most importantly, meeting so many other bloggers, most of which are now my good friends! Get prepared for a photo onslaught:
Love you, D! Danica was my very first blogging buddy and now I’m so lucky to call her my friend.
One of my favorite photos of Aron and I.
My first time meeting, Susan!
So excited to have met the newly-engaged Kristin!
Not only is Ron a kick ass Ironman, but I feel like he’s almost the ring leader of the East Bay runners!
Want to know someone awesome? Meet Alyssa. Nicest person ever!
Martiza was a former-East Bayer, but now traveling around the world with her amazing job!
This was my first night ever meeting these ladies. On our way to the bar, they told me, “We all voted. You’re not crazy.”
Tara is my fellow East Bay Ginger. Red heads unite!
All of the ladies, plus Susan, Layla and Audrey.
Aron, Tara, Jessica and Katie (p.s. Katie is ON FIRE this season. Like 3:08 marathons ON FIRE!)
I am seriously getting emotional here because just thinking about all of you guys makes my heart smile. Each and every one of your comments makes my day. Thank you for always being there for me to provide words of encouragement and support, listening to my ramblings and being the best blog friends a gal could ask for! I love you guys!
I want to make sure that this blog is valuable to all of you that take time out of your day to stop by. What do you want to see more of on the blog?
Today is also the day that I announce the winner of the Gu care package! So many of you entered and I loved reading all about what you would do with the Gu, but there can only be one winner at it was…(drum roll please)…Ben Dixon! Congrats, Ben! Please email me your address at twentysixandthensome[at]gmail.com and I’ll send you the package!
