I can’t believe it…
Where did the year and four month engagement go?
Where did the almost six years of dating go?
Where did the time go since we met in third grade?
All of a sudden, it’s time.
When I was little, my vision of marriage consisted of this
(don’t hate on the muppets or we can’t be friends):
Truth be told, I used to cry in my bed because I didn’t want to grow up, get married and leave my family. But as one would expect, things have changed a bit and I can happily shout that I am ready to marry a boy name Chicken Face (who, by the way, looks nothing like a Chicken). From the muppets to meeting, growing and loving my best friend…and it will all be official come Saturday and I couldn’t be more excited to start forever with him.
I’ll keep the mush to a minimum, but a big THANK YOU to everyone for all of your super sweet words. I can’t wait to come back and share all of the details with you! I’ll be out until mid-next week, but in the mean time, I’ve lined up some great guest blog posts. I’m so happy for you. I can really understand that feeling of never wanting to grow up and be an adult. I was the kind of girl who cried when she got her first period and tried to strap down her boobs…which is to say, I resisted every step of growing up. But it’s a beautiful transformation to become independent and to begin the family you “chose” instead of the one you were born into.
