This week has been all about getting back into the groove of things, including time with friends, race spectating, running, and of course, working. But as soon as we’re back in the groove, we’ll be jetting back out to finally get our time in the sun.
Aron, Kerry, Corinne, Lola and I all headed out to the new Fast and Furious race in downtown Pleasanton. Complete with a 5K, a 1-mile elite run and a ridiculous amount of cycling races (I can’t even begin to comprehend the cycling jargon), it was such a great time to chill with friends and support our other friends racing.
With an online coupon in hand (I only by shoes with coupons!) I made the jump of buying another pair of shoes so I can start to circulate shoes throughout training. It’s something I’ve never done before, but can understand the benefits of breaking in two pairs for continued support throughout the cycle and have different shoes for different types of races.
A while back, I confessed my reading habits. Since then, I made my first big Amazon book purchase and am already well into the process of being BFFs with reading again. Thanks for all of your recos!
I’ve seen the gelato at Costco, but why didn’t anyone tell me how freakin’ delicious it is?! Plus, three scoops in a waffle cone for under two bucks. Heaven in a cone.
Uh oh. It’s official.
And now the moment you’ve been waiting for…the winner of the ActivewearUSA giveaway. Drum roll please…

ahhhh, that cone of gelato looks amazing. it’s perfect ice cream weather right now…80 degrees and sunny outside. alas, i am inside my cube for another 3.5 hours. harumph.
have a good weekend! 🙂
i won?! for real?!?! that’s awesome 🙂 thanks so much, emailing you now!
I’ve never really “rotated” shoes — I just have my racing flats for speed work & 5/10K’s. So maybe sort of.
This summer, I’ve been really into freezing berries & berry-like things (blueberries, strawberries, grapes, raspberries, blackberries). They’re so good! I’m pretty sure I could sit & eat frozen blueberries indefinitely. On the other hand, there is purple juice everywhere…
i have read all those books and loved all of them! enjoy page!! 🙂
those nikes are awesomeeee. i’ve definitely been thinking about rotating sneaks too, especially because my current ones will have too many miles on them by marathon day…
i want that ice cream cone in my hand right now! 🙂
