This week’s Friday Favs is brought to you by the holiday that I always wish I did more for – Halloween. I absolutely love Halloween and I always have grand intentions of going all out with decorations and costumes. But every year it seems to slip by, forcing me to forgo all Halloween plans and bake copious amounts of pumpkin pie instead.
However, this week I did get in a hint of Halloween activities, not to mention my first five mile run with no hip pain – hurrah! I won’t lie, those five miles were difficult as I feel horribly out of shape, but I know once I get back into the groove it will all come back.
Here’s to Halloween, healing and puppies in adorable costumes (I’m suck a sucker).
Buzzzzzzzzzz.
Mine is the pumpkin on the top – can you guess who my inspiration was?
Pumpkin Snickerdoodles.
UH-MA-ZING! I used this recipe and you’d make them too if you knew what was good for ya.
A little hide and seek – I think he’s been spotted.
I got my first pair of CEP compression socks! It took me a minute to figure out how to “efficiently” put these tight suckers on, but I’m excited to put them to work!
Tell me, what are you dressing up as for Halloween? I need to get a costume tonight!
Happy Running and Happy Halloween!
Snickerdoodles are my favorite!!!! Great socks….
Totally making those cookies today – thanks for the link.
Costume/haunted house/trick or treat 5K at the GSR (what used to be the Hilton) in Reno tomorrow night. Thinking of wearing a tux.
Love those socks!! If I don’t have any calve soreness, do I need this?
I missed your last post about swimming, congrats about swimming a full mile! Insane that only after 2 swim sessions you swam a full mile nonstop, that is nuts.
Congrats on the pain free 5 mile run!
Those snickerdoodles do look awesome!
I won’t be able to dress up for Halloween – but some ideas that I would have done would be – Angry Birds, Anonymous, or Occupy Wall Street protester, lol
Lola is too cute! Keep taking care of that hip and you will be good as new in no time!
I always wish I did more for Halloween too. Love the compression socks! The first time I bought a pair of CEPs I had to look up a you tube video to figure out how to put them on!
Those pumpkin snickerdoodles look and sound amazing! Hope you get a costume figured out, I’m terrible at that kind of stuff!
I bought those pink CEP socks two weeks ago, and I love them. I sized down, so it took me ~5 min to put them on, but they hug my calves so good. I sleep in them sometimes.
I hope you appreciate that costume-loving pup of yours. I once tried to dress up my cat as Mrs. Claus for Christmas photos, and he tore off his dress and ignored me for the rest of the day. Maybe because he wasn’t into the whole cross-dressing thing, or he just isn’t a very festive pet …
Pumpkin snickerdoodles sound amazing!
I have the exact same pair of compression socks and I adore them. It won’t take long for you to fall in love, too!! 🙂
Aaahh! I can’t take all the cute! I went so far as to show my husband the hide-and-seek pic – adorable! (Those cookies look pretty yummy too.) Glad to hear your hips feeling better.
Those pumpkin snickerdoodles look amazing!
I have compression sleeves and love them. I just bought a pair of Zensahs too and hope they are waiting for me after work today. Your dog is super cute! I have always wanted one
I’ve made those cookies a couple times. LOVE them!
I NEVER have good costume ideas. I’m supposed to wear one for a race on Sunday and I have no clue what I’m going to do
That bee costume is adorable. A group of us are dressing up as super heroes for The Poland Spring 5mile race this Sunday. I am planning to be SpiderGirl.
That hide-and-seek photo is CRACKING ME UP!! Love it!!
And have you run in the socks or are they just for recovery?
Good timing! I have part of a leftover can of pumpkin puree in the fridge that I wanted to use up tonight with a pumpkin dessert recipe. Totally making those snickerdoodles!
I’m being the Red Queen from alice in wonderland in a frisbee tournament this weekend.
Then monday i’m going to re-use my Lilith from Borderlands (a video game character) for my at work/ out with my friends costume
I’m not dressing up, but, hmmm….super hero? Rachel Zoe (wear a fur vest, big sunnies, and a starbucks cup)? the element gold and wear tons of gold stuff (chem nerd)? Lady GaGa?
Tough one. Have a good weekend!
those cookies look incredible! i’m actually DIYing my costume and going as ursula from the little mermaid…but not a fat one, a fit, athletic one! i always wish i did more for halloween, too, but it seemed to creep up on us this year!
Your puppy is the cutest fricking thing I’ve seen besides by 2 kids! SO CUTE!
Just got my first pair of compression socks as well and I almost passed out trying to put them on. For all that effort, I hope they actually so something beneficial!
i want your cookies!
i just ordered my first pair of compression socks and I am SO EXCITED to get them.
i was a brownie for halloween… the junior girl scout version.
Those socks are expensive, but worth it.
