When I was perusing through my photos this week, I realized that I have some very apparent obsessions. If you know me personally, this wouldn’t be a surprise. One rhymes with “Funger Shames,” one is furry and has four legs, and one I contemplated serving at my wedding – don’t judge me. So without further ado, my Friday favorites, celebrating everything that made me smile this week.
I was surprised with a Kindle for Christmas and because of Amazon Prime and it’s free books, I got suckered into reading The Hunger Games. O-M-FREAKING-G! Why didn’t anyone tell me that it is such a fun and strange escape from reality even though it’s not the usual books I would choose (I protested, and still refuse to read, Twilight).
The sad news about Amazon Prime is you can only check out one book at a time, so while I wait for February to roll around, I cracked The Omnivore’s Dilemma back open.
As if this one came to you as any surprise, but Lola is most definitely a 365 days a year obsession, even when she rips open fake bananas. But how can you get mad at a face like that?
This is the “stop talking to me, I’m sleeping…” face.
An Instagram fav from this week: my post-work outfit of choice. Despite Chicken Face’s pleas to stay in “normal” clothes, I refuse to let Bart’s nastiness infiltrate my home.
And of course, we couldn’t forget one of my favorite foods on the planet. I buy the Costco box, but when I saw the white cheddar and shaped flavors on sale for $1, I scooped them up. I’ll be sure to let you know how Arthur tastes.
Happy Running!
bahahah, my dogs LOVE ripping stuffed animals apart and then look at me with the same sad faces! little cutie.
Oh yeah, hubs loves my post-work attire too! haha
LOVE mac & cheese. I wish they carried Annie’s here!
Cute post!! What an adorable face. Who says you can’t be sexy in our post workout outfit. Men just don’t get it 🙂
Yes!! Isn’t the Hunger Games A.Ma.Zing???! (I said that about Twilight, too, and ended up reading the series twice – lol)
I really need to do Friday Faves like this. Love Hunger Games. I need to do a reread before the movie comes out!
Hunger Games is the best! I can’t wait for the movie in march. Have a great weekend!
I just finished the first hunger games about a week ago — Jonathan and I were basically walking through the motions of going to work so we could hurry home and finish a couple chapters. So enthralling. We are on chapter 3 of the second book . . . So far I don’t like it. . . But I’ve been assured it gets better
ahhh hunger games are so good! i unfortunately was convinced to read the twilight books…and i’ll sadly never get that time back. oh, and annie’s is the BEST!
I see Lola and I share a strange banana kinship…
I have the exact shaped mac and cheese in my pantry waiting to be eaten. I was set on trying them last night, but sadly no milk.
i think our yorkies need to meet. and possibly make babies.
I’ve completely failed if I didn’t convince you of the awesomeness that is the Hunger Games sooner. I read all 3 of them in ~3 days (thank you transAtlantic flight). Can’t wait for the movie this spring!
It’s a good thing dogs are so adorable- especially when they do things like tear something up. Luke (my dog) decided Lulu running shorts were a chew toy. Um, yeah, not funny. (Luke is 12 and therefore gets to play the senile card.)
Best part of Annie’s? They make a GF version. <3
Ahhhhh I love the hunger games!!!!!!
Did you know that Arthur is a rescued rabbit? I love that brand.
