This week’s Friday Faves is brought to you by a few of my favorite new addictions and a some surprise hidden gems. Yes, more addictions…or maybe it’s just a phase.
Ok people, let’s talk Pinterest. I know that everyone has been raving about it for months now, but I finally hopped on the bandwagon and I can now officially say that it’s the Internet’s version of crack and I’m addicted. Now if only there can be 30 hours in a day so I can actually do any of the stuff that I pin. You can follow my boards here and yes, this is definitely not helping my less screen time resolution.
I found these three photos of Katie and I at the NorCal half. Hmmm…maybe if I worried less about smiling for the camera and actually focused on my running, I could be a bad ass like Katie.
Along with Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest and my other daily addictions, Instagram is of course, something that apparently I must participate in as well or else my life will crumble. I kid. To be honest, it’s quite fantastic as I just sync it with my Twitter account so when I take a photo, apply a filter to make me feel like a better photographer and it will automatically post to Twitter. Plus, when you can follow channels like Puppy Palace and get photos like this in your feed, what’s not to love? (I imagine this little guy saying, “Aye ayyyye aye!”)
This woman. In the pool. With a hooded sweatshirt (and me trying to take a secret photo of it). Just call me Bond.
Last week, it was brought to attention that I made a guest appearance in the official Clif Bar Pace Team video. It brought a smile to my face and brought back the great memories from the Big Sur marathon.
Have a great weekend and happy running!
Aw, I love the hug! You’re famous. 🙂
Wait. Why would a woman be IN the pool wearing a sweatshirt? Did she swim? Did she get the sweatshirt wet? This is a conundrum that will haunt me so I hope you have the answers to the mystery! And I hope YOU have a great weekend!
That video almost made me cry… Oh God, can you say hormones?? You’re a movie star!
I cried during the cliff bar video when I saw u! Lol ! Oh boy I need a life ! U inspire me! Love you !
I can never get enough Pinterest. It’s becoming a real problem. Following you now. 🙂
I’m so confused by the sweatshirt in the pool. It seems so uncomfortable.
I am addicted to pinterest as well! I can’t stop!
I love pinterest myself. If only the day had more hours…
And those race pictures of you! I wish I looked as relaxed as you are when running.
Also, how cold is the water in your pool, or why could she be wearing a sweater? (Love how you managed to snag a picture – bond style).
PAGE! You didn’t just make an appearance in that video, you were the emotional and dramatic ending! xo
I am obsessed with pinterest. Cannot stop repinning stuff there. Also love the secret picture. I am horrible at taking secret pictures. usually i end up dropping my phone
I just can’t get into pinterest… maybe it’s because I’m not an organized crafty person? And maybe the lady fell in the pool in her sweatshirt? OR maybe the pool water was cold and she wanted to be warm? And she didn’t realize the sweatshirt would become wet too making her cold – unless its a water proof sweatshirt?? Yay for being famous!! That video makes me sooo excited for my first marathon!!! eeks!! Ask me after how i feel…
It’s possible that the lady in the pool with the sweatshirt is either of a religion or ethnicity such that she wants to be modest and covered. I life-guarded in college and we had some ladies who would swim in pants and long sleeve shirts. Generally we were supposed to discourage them swimming in heavy materials like jeans because it could compromise a rescue, luckily no one wore jeans and we didn’t have many rescues in general. Some women had specific modest swimming gear, basically like a wetsuit.
Just a thought?
You are totally right. I contemplated whether or not I should even post it because of that exact reason. Thanks for bringing it up 🙂
I am trying to avoid getting into Pinterest as it will be just ONE MORE FREAKING thing I will obsess over and have to check on a daily basis! (So that means I’m gonna do it, of course.)
Not just any appearance – that was a STARRING ROLE!!!
