FIFTY-FIFTY-FIFTY!
I like to kick, stretch and kick!
I rode FIFTY!
This Saturday’s long ride was worthy of kickin’ and strenchin’ because we rode my farthest distance yet. Yup, you guessed it, FIFTY! I finally found a few folks within my group that ride a pace that is comfortable, yet challenging, and I was happy to have them by my side.
For three hours, we pedaled through multiple East Bay suburbs and with one left hand turn, we were in the middle of green hills, pastures, and beautiful old barns. From clouds to sun and some not so pleasant winds on the way back, it was just a great ride. While my quads were definitely a bit sore on Sunday, I can feel myself getting stronger little by little. It’s a slow process, but I’ll take it.
To top it all off, I rode in my new jersey (yes, now I have two). Arrrrrrrrrren’t you glad I posted this horrible photo and pun?
Oh cycling. How I am this close to saying the “L” word to you.
Happy Running!
Awesome! I can’t imagine riding fifty miles. Strangely enough though my butt would probably be the first to go rather than my legs. The seats are so uncomfortable. Good job!
congrats on 50! i should be there this week. as tiring and slow going as my cycling progress seems, it’s nice to get these longer rides in and the boost of confidence that comes with them.
Sweet! Congrats on the new milestone and a great ride. Awesome that you… L’d it. 🙂
I love that you referenced SNL! WAY TO KILL 50 miles!!!!!

Dude…I LOVE the picture! You look so not-NOOB-ish 🙂 Way to smack down 50 big ones!
I love it! Hooray for new distance PR’s-those are the best! And I love your jersey-I’m a total noob when it comes to cycling and I don’t even care 🙂

Congratulations!! I am glad you’re taking to cycling but I also want to scream, “NOT THE DARK SIDE!!!” ha ha.
