Unnamed; Week 1 of the 52 Week Photo Challenge.
My parents were professional photographers and apparently, I didn’t have any interest in it until now. Great timing, I know.
So here I am, 30 years later, trying to figure out how in the hell to use an old DSLR I bought off my parents. But thankfully, the Internet is pretty good at providing copious resources to help any new photographer feel one part partly informed and one part completely overwhelmed. With Lynda, Nikon D90 for Dummies, and my A Beautiful Mess tutorials in hand, I’m getting to work.
So humor me (and join me!) if you will, as I embark on this 52 Week Photo Challenge. The first week’s challenge: a selfie. Wait, what? A selfie? How am I supposed to take a selfie with a DSLR if I don’t own a tripod or a clicker? Through random reflections staring back at you as you’re the only one left in the office and you sit next to a too-hard-to-describe glass pane, that’s how. Here are a couple contenders for what to call this image:
Millennial. Defined.
Now that’s what I call ingenuity.
Trigger finger.
Why so serious?
Paranormal Page.
Go home, you’re drunk.
I’m open to naming suggestions and fellow amatuer photogs joining me in this challenge. Let me know!
Page that is a fantastic selfie! I am reading through the challenge and it sounds scary. But I would love to do something like this or similar! Beautiful, beautiful photo!
Do it! I love that the challenge is only one a week and the themes are pretty broad. There are so many that is a photo a day, and as a newbie, whoooa…too much! Thanks for the kind words 🙂
Wow that is beautiful!!
Thanks, Nicole! Lots to learn!
Oh proud mom and dad here.
The love of the art of photography❤️
Enjoy creating😜
Is there anything you are not good at? 😉 Your photo is really beautiful. You already have an “artistic eye”, for sure!
Hahaha, you’re too nice! Thanks for the kind words!
