I feel like Bill Murray.
My nose is still running from last week’s cold and I feel like a majority of my life is being spent inside a car.
We made another trip back home for our second wedding in two weeks, both in Reno. While that much drive time is less than ideal, the wedding was adorable and I was glad we could be there with family. But I must confess, the real highlight of the week was celebrating our five year wedding anniversary in Squaw Valley. We hiked, we ate, we drank, and it was pure happiness. I’ll share the scoop on that trip soon, but let’s peek at all of last week, this week.
Sweating through too many stops to choke up whatever is stuck in my throat and blow through copious amounts of snot rockets. Sexy, I know. A meager 21.5 miles, three BBG workouts, and one trainer ride — I’m anxious for my immune system to pull itself together.
Eating Safeway breakfast burritos. Get this: egg white, veggies, chipotle sauce, and big, fatty potato wedges all wrapped up and heated for $2.99. It is not a culinary masterpiece nor the epitome of health, but you know what it was perfect for? Sopping up champagne mojitos before you climb up a freaking mountain. It’s about balance.
Wearing my favorite new watch that my little sister got me. Do I use it to actually tell the time? Nah, I have an iPhone for that. This is pure accessory status.
Writing a special little something for the cheese to my mac.
Reading Ten Real People on The Cost of Living in a Mountain Town. If your article has anything about living in active cities, the cost of living in active cities, a listicle of active cities, or just anything that has to do with living somewhere active, how much of a toll it will take on your wallet, and it’s accessibility to a mountain, there’s a 110 percent chance that I’m clicking on it. It’s my internet kryptonite.
Living for my Outside Magazine “outdoor living” articles. Errr. I mean working on a big plan that Josh and I dreamed up this weekend.
