As much as I love the outdoors, I am not afraid to admit that the binge-watcher in me comes out every so often, especially after long stretches of chaos. Equipped with only basic cable and Netflix, we somehow still manage to let hours pass, with me begging, “Just one more episode!” From Dexter and Mad Men, to The Killing, Game of Thrones, and even Jane the Virgin, I enjoy good TV. So sue me.
Last week was madness all-around and I just couldn’t help it. So, I have a confession to make…
Josh and I binge-watched the entire series of Stranger Things this weekend. Yes, all eight, 45-minute episodes.
Whew, it feels good to get that off my chest.
If on Thursday you were to tell me that I was going to become one with my couch over a show about childhood adventure and supernatural powers set in the 80s, I would have said, “Ehhhh, no thanks.” But thankfully I went into it blind and it was the perfect amount of mind-numbing suspense to wind down from the week. Plus, Lola is ridiculously cute in her couch blanket.
To be clear, I’d like to blame work, life, and Winona Ryder for screwing up my blogging vibe and inducing total laziness. It was all their fault.
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming…
hahahaha….love this!! I finally made it to the 21st century and have NetFlix. Binge watching The Walking Dead 🙂 Stranger Things is up next. I had a friend do the same as you and after hearing the review….wow!
Definitely do Stranger Things! We also love Anthony Bourdain – Places Unknown.
Lola is adorable! You’re lucky you and Josh can agree on what to binge on. It takes us so long to decide on something our tv watching time is over.
Haha, I know the feeling. Truth be told, I usually just have to make a call or else we’d be scrolling forever too.
