On Monday, July 17, 2017, at 4:53 p.m., our lives forever changed as we welcomed Quinn Jeffery Williams into the world. Weighing in at 9 pounds and 1 once, and 21 and a quarter inches long, he is nothing short of perfection.
While I am going to keep the birth story private, I will share this: it was 30 hours of labor, four hours of pushing, countless tears, and a waterfall of decisions that ultimately led to the delivery of our son. I cannot thank Josh enough for not only drying my tears and being my partner, but for being an active part in the entire birthing process. He is my everything. And to my mom, who sat in the room with us the entire time, keeping our spirits high and capturing memories that will never be forgotten. I am so lucky to have been able to share this special day with my favorite people.
This little human possesses the innate ability to turn my heart to absolute mush within a matter of seconds, regardless of how little sleep I’ve gotten. My photo library already has thousands of photos of the squish that is my son, and I cry tears of happiness every time I look at him. With Josh, Lola and our families by our side, I can truly say that my heart has stretched to fill new levels of love that I never knew about until now.
Thank you to everyone who has called, texted, commented and sent love throughout my pregnancy and Quinn’s birth — it means the world to us. Oh and for those who are on the fence about it…TAKE THE EPIDURAL.
Oh Page, what a lovely welcome to your son! I am lucky I am at home reading this because I have tears running down my face. I am sure you have heard it but it just keeps getting better and better. Soak it all in mama, it goes too fast!
Congratulations!! There’s nothing like the first born and becoming parents. It’s so surreal!! He is just adorable.
Hi Page,
Congratulations on your beautiful son! I would caution you strongly about the use of the term “natural birth” as opposed to “unmedicated” birth, because a “natural” aka unmedicated birth tends to imply that any birth that involves medication, or a c-section is “unnatural” and can be very hurtful to other mamas out there trying to make peace with their own birth experiences.
Thank you for calling that out — I definitely don’t know all of the appropriate lingo and have made the update. <3
He’s perfect!! Congrats
Oh jeeZe, sorry but people need to stop being offended with other people’s birth stories and terms and that’s the last thing you heed to worry about now!!!. By all means, use the word natural because that is exactly what it was. Le sigh.
This is coming from someone who took MONTHS to come to terms with my first birth story. But that’s exactly what it was, my birth story. And having gone au natural for one and way not natural for the first, I will say by comparison it felt very unnatural to have the interventions and epidural.
Please don’t worry about trying to please everyone! Super congrats to you and Josh, it’s such an amazing (albeit exhausting) adventure! You’re doing awesome already.
Congratulations so happy for you both
Congratulations on your beautiful son Page and Josh! He is perfect! Enjoy the baby days, weeks, and months, and years to come! I’m so happy for you all.

Thrilled for you! What a handsome little guy <3 Congrats, friend!

It had a little of everything, jokes were crude but absolutely halarious! The host had me in years I was laughing so hard. Definitely a must see if you like to laugh and you are not easily offended.
