Page Williams IMCDAHmmm…something witty to say about myself. If I admit I have nothing witty to say does it make me witty in return? Next question, please.

The simple stuff: my name is Page and I like to swim, bike and run. A lot.

In 2012, I decided to embark on a completely frightening and exciting journey: training for my first triathlon in seven years and my first Ironman ever. Long story short, I fell and did quite the number to my ankle just 10 days before IMAZ and wasn’t able to compete. I’m now on my way to recovery and am training again, this time for Ironman Coeur d’Alene 2013. UPDATE: I have now completed my first Ironman (wahoo!) and am absolutely hooked!

Enjoy my two cents on the simple things I love in life: running, cooking, family and being a digital nerd. You can learn more than you probably need to know about me here.

Page! What an awesome blog! How did you come up with the name for your blog? I was curious if “26 and then some” references a 20 something year old running blogger, or the 26 miles in a marathon…. or both!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, experiences, advice, lessons learned, etc.! Love reading them!

Hi Page! I am a triathlete as well and just saw your post of your xray at the chiropractor. I have been having hip pain for the last 10 months, and just had an xray done at the chiropractor that looks exactly like yours! Are you still wearing the heel insert years later? Let me know what you found to help you! Thanks :) -Natalee in Minnesota

      Hey Natalee,

Glad you found the blog! That post is a bit dated so I’m glad you asked. I ended up going to that chiro multiple times with no success. Later, I found a better chiro who does ART and THAT was the trick. I no longer wear the insert as the ART, as well as preventative care (rolling, stretching, etc.) helped me loosen up my muscles which was what was making things out of whack.

      Hope this helps!

Very happy to have found your blog. Everyone I know who has done IMCdA said it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world. I hope you’ll have a blast, I know you can crush this race. Best of luck and keep playing hard! I’ll be cheering on you all the way from Canada.
